User Security
By design we will adopt enhanced security features and always put our App users safeguarding at the heart of everything we do.
Liveness checks
While registering take auto picture of the user post liveness checks to ensure it’s not a photo of an image or video.
Store the image until user profile is deleted by admin.
OTP Verification
Send OTP to users mobile while registering to verify the mobile number.
Store verified mobile number along with changed numbers until user profile is deleted by admin.
In-App Chat
Store all conversations between 2 users when they start communicating with each other.
Principles
How we adhere to the 6 principles?
Empowerment
Ensuring people are supported and confident in making their own decisions and giving informed consent. We empower our platform users and volunteers to report anything suspicious they identify upfront. Always there to hear out and support them
Protection
Providing support for those in greatest need. Anything that’s bought to out notice or we identified, will be dealt with in a timely manner and highest priority to protect our users, volunteers and partner charities.
Prevention
It is crucial to take action before harm occurs, preventing neglect, harm or abuse is the primary objective. We apply advanced analytics to analyse the user behaviour on the platform and also analyse messages to identify indications of any harmful behaviour and take preventive actions upfront.
Proportionality
We must take a proportionate and least intrusive response to the issue presented. We will ensures that services take each person into account when dealing with abuse. They will respect each individual and assess any risks presented.
Partnerships
Forming partnerships with local communities can create solutions as they can assist in preventing and detecting abuse. We will continuously lookout to collaborate with the right organisations locally and nationally to create the best in class solutions in preventing and detecting abuse
Accountability
Being accountable and having complete transparency in delivering safeguarding practice. We will regularly remind our volunteers, users and partner charities about importance of the role everyone has to play in safeguarding policies, being vigilant and taking accountability
Procedures
A threat or an issue identified by any one of the below groups must be reported to the assigned safe guarding officer within Nirvana.
Charities
Record your findings following your internal safeguarding policies.
Highlight clearly (if you are getting info from others) that the information will be shared with Nirvana and other authorities that deal with safeguarding vulnerable adults or children.

Logging Risks and Issues
Risk can be defined as an uncertain event or condition that results in a positive or negative effect on the company or users. Issue can be defined as an event or condition that has already happened and has impacted or currently impacting the company or users.
What should I do when I identify one?
Risk
Any identified or predicted risks must be logged in the ”Risk” log in a timely manner under the right category (operational, Reg, Fin..etc).
Every risk must have a mitigation plan.
Every risk must be rated accurately (user impact, reputation impact…etc).
High priority risks must be regularly discussed in weekly leadership meeting.
Issues
All active issues must be logged in the ”Issue” log in a timely manner under the right category (operational, Reg, Fin..etc).
Every issue must have a rectification plan and key milestones clearly defined.
Every issue must have accurately user impact, reputation impact…etc called out and drop dead date it need to be addressed by.
All active issues must be regularly discussed in weekly leadership meeting.
Must be reported to concerned external parties (regulator or charities or users) on regular basis where applicable.
